A petite antique French charm pendant fashioned in 18ct yellow gold and chased with a high relief image of a winged cherub on the front.

Cherubs have been portrayed in paintings, sculptures, and jewellery pieces throughout history and were seen to represent innocence, love, and faith. This one is full of character and is depicted as a young child with wings, sat pondering with his head resting on his hand.   

It’s a charming antique find and complete with a French gold eagle hallmark at the loop. It would look wonderful suspended from a gold chain or hung from a bracelet.
